Your Best Design Might Already Exist: Reorders, New Garments, and Smart Refreshes

Every now and then our previouse clients come in ready to invent a brand-new shirt, then mentions the old design their crew keeps asking for. That's the moment I slow the conversation down. Maybe the next great piece is already in our files.

A reorder can be wonderfully straightforward. It can also be a chance to make one smart change: put the art on a hoodie, update a piece of equipment, change a date, or give the design more room to breathe. The right answer depends on what people liked about it in the first place.

Three paths for a design people already wear

Run it again

If the artwork still feels right and the same garment did its job, let's review the old order and see what can be repeated. We'll still confirm current garment availability, colors, sizes, and pricing. “Same as last time” is a useful starting instruction, but we want everyone looking at the same proof.

Move it to a new garment

A tee design can look great on a hoodie, crewneck, or jacket—but placement, scale, garment color, and decoration may need another look. That's why we review the art on the actual product instead of assuming the old file will behave the same way everywhere.

Keep the soul and update the details

Maybe the truck has changed, the team reached a milestone, or the original idea deserves a stronger composition. Our artists can preserve the part everyone recognizes while giving the design a fresh chapter. This is often more interesting than starting with a blank page.

You asked: What if we can't find our old order number?

No worries, if you have worked with us in the past, then we have your original artwork. We keep our database of artwork secure and backed-up on every project we do for you. If you are new, we can work off of a refrence photo of a past design.

You asked: Will the new hoodie wear exactly like the old tee?

Different garments have different fabrics, fits, and care instructions, so we should choose the product on its own merits. Check the actual garment care label when you receive it. The Federal Trade Commission explains why care instructions belong on apparel labels and what those labels are meant to tell buyers.

We have been doing this for 45+ years, so we know what materiels are a better fit depending on what industry you are in and the team that will be wearing your story.

You asked: Can we make a quick concept before committing to the refresh?

Yes. Concept-Studio.AI by Excel Sportswear can help explore a direction with a logo, description, or reference image. Treat that result as a concept. Our artists review the specifics, refine what matters to your brand, hand draw new elements, and prepare approved artwork for print production.

Bring us the favorite

Tell us what your people loved, what you might change, and where the new garment needs to go. We'll help decide whether this is a simple reorder, a garment update, or a fresh design built from a familiar story.
